True education means more than the pursual of a certain course of study. It means more than a preparation for the life that now is. It has to do with the whole being, and with the whole period of existence possible to man. It is the harmonious development of the physical, the mental, and the spiritual powers. It prepares the student for the joy of service in this world and for the higher joy of wider service in the world to come.

For this year, 2021, the Willesden Seventh-day Adventist Church Education Ministry in collaboration with other departments will establish the

Educational Learning and Empowerment Centre

Philosophy of Aspire & Grow

Aspire & Grow is a centre of empowerment, prioritising education and learning. Underpinned by a philosophy that recognises each individual’s capacity to unlock, develop, and fulfil personal potential, we provide education, creativity, play and support, to enable individuals to aspire, grow, and flourish.

Learning goes beyond boundaries of formal education. Aspire & Grow recognise that life-long learning should be accessible and equitable, meeting the needs of professionals and non-professionals. We nurture and equip children, young people, and adults, holistically and creatively, for more expansive opportunities in careers, ministries and personal lives. We work in partnership with formal educational institutions and agencies.

Aspire & Grow seek to offer transformational, life affirming and life shaping tools. “God created man in His own image after His own likeness.” (Genesis 1:26). Thus, Aspire & Grow are committed to the development of a centre that supports all learners to reflect God’s image and likeness. Inclusive of all backgrounds and beliefs, as a creative and academic learning institution, Aspire & Grow support individuals to fulfil their personal potential.

Following E.G White (1903), Aspire & Grow seek to prepare all learners for ‘the joy of service in this world and the higher joy of wider service in the world to come’ (Education, pg. 13, para 1, Pacific Press ).
